Axe Memorial United Methodist has served the Garland area community of faith since 1951. We blend a loyalty to our faith tradition with a desire to relevantly serve our emerging new community of faith with innovation and grace.

We are best known for having an extended family sense of caring for one another, an excellent program in music, youth, and senior citizen outreach, numerous mission outreaches, community involvement, and strong Bible study opportunities. We also have a Men's softball team, and an active United Methodist Women program.

Our 10:45 worship service is a blend of traditional and contemporary music. We also have a Praise Service the first Sunday night of each month. Check us out!!

Precepts

Our Precepts Bible Study resumes on Friday morning, September 19, at 9:30 in the Fellowship Hall.  We will be studying the book of James.  We will welcome the return of our beloved teacher, Denise Walker. The books will be $26.00 plus postage and need to be ordered on September 8. Line Dance Classes

Classes begin Thursday, September 4, 2008. Classes will be held 1st, 2nd, & 4th Thursday evening of each month. Time: 6:30PM till 8PM. (No class 3rd Thursday of each month). Classes will be held in the gym of McGee Hall. The charge is $3.00 per class. We welcome beginners. Bring a friend and joins us for fun, exercise, fellowship & dance.

Round Up Sunday is Coming

September 14th has been selected as the date for this year’s Round Up Sunday. It is a time when we celebrate our coming together after the summer vacation and welcome one another in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
