Shenna Logan

Sheena Logan, Children and Youth Ministries Director

Sheena, a native of Dallas enjoys playing sports, reading books, spending time with family, dancing, eating food, and travelling the world. She comes to Axe Memorial with a wide range of experiences in children and youth programing, mostly in the inner-city. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas College and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology with a minor in Social work. Sheena began her career in mentoring young people in 2008 through various capacities. It was through relationships and experiences serving as a site coordinator with Project Transformation that she was led to pursue a degree in ministry at Perkins School of Theology. In seminary, Sheena became a believer in God, was baptized, and recognized her call to youth ministry. Sheena received her Master’s in Church Ministries with a focus on Urban Ministry and Christian Education in December 2012. She is following her call to ministry by accepting this position at Axe. She feels blessed and is extremely thankful for the opportunity to serve the children and youth of Axe Memorial and the greater Garland community.

Terri Knagg

Terri Knagg, Children’s Choir Director

Terri Knagg is currently an elementary music teacher with Garland ISD. She has worked with various children’s choruses for many years and has a heart for teaching music. Terri is married to John Knagg, who grew up at Axe Methodist, and has a wonderful daughter Allie and son Jack. Terri graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a bachelor of science in all-level music education. She is also Orff Level I certified.
