🎶 Welcome Michael Link, Axe Memorial’s New Director of Music Ministries!

Axe Memorial UMC is excited to welcome Michael “Mike” Link as our new Director of Music Ministries!

Mike brings more than 30 years of church music leadership experience, serving Methodist congregations throughout Texas. Most recently, he served at First United Methodist Church Allen, following 17 years at Aldersgate UMC in Carrollton.

His extensive musical and educational background includes a B.A. in Music Education from Western Illinois University, a Master of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music, Certification in Church Music from Perkins School of Theology, and a second master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University.

Throughout his career, Mike has taught choirs, bands, and orchestras and has also served as an adjunct instructor at the University of North Texas. He currently teaches Piano Lab at Austin Academy for Excellence in Garland ISD and will sing with the Dallas Arts District Chorale during the 2026–27 season.

Mike’s first Sunday at Axe Memorial will be September 6!
