Rising Stars Summer Program

This past week we launched our Rising Stars Summer Program. Growing and developing during the summer is essential for our young people. Our program will provide a fun and safe place for elementary school students during the summer. The program will have positive interaction with caring adult role models and promote and develop life skills, respect for others, and positive

social interaction. The students will engage in personal development through craft, bible study, music, reading, cooking, and recreational activity. With our first week under our belt, we have moderate attendance, with an average of 25 children.We would like to see these numbers grow! In addition, we have had an average of 5 volunteers a day, we would love for these numbers to grow as well!! Our theme this week was “all about me”. This was a week to get to know our friends in the program and share ourselves with our new friends. Speaking with the children daily, they continue to share how much fun they are having.
