Adult Groups

Triple A (Axe Awesome Adults)

Triple A is a group of retired adults who get together for fun and fellowship.

The group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 9:00am for games, a program and lunch. Trips are planned for a variety of places during the year. Come join us and bring a friend.

Ann Patterson is the AAA coordinator. If you have any questions regarding Triple A, please contact Ann at (972) 278-8582. Don Noack makes our travel and tour arrangements.

You are Invited!

YOU ARE INVITED to join us for fun and fellowship on the second Monday of each month. Axe Awesome Adults has no age specification —– come at 9:00 am to play games, bring your own needlework or craft, or just visit. At 10:45 am, we have a short time for business, then at 11:00 am, an enjoyable (and sometimes educational) program, followed by lunch. Once a month, we have a day trip to a place of interest in the area, and once or twice a year an out of town trip. Join us if you can — you’ll be glad you did!

UMW (United Methodist Women)

The organized unit of United Methodist Women Shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Our purpose is to focus on the UMW reading program for 2019 with a short book review from books in these categories:

  • Education for Mission
  • Leadership Development
  • Nurturing for Community
  • Social Action
  • Spiritual Growth

The women’s library has many books ready and available to begin your experience of reading from these diverse categories. Reading books from these categories will broaden exposure and help you to be a knowledgeable and caring Christian.
